Publication scheme
Our publication scheme provides a guide to the information routinely made available to the public. Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA), we are required to make information available to the public as part of our normal business activities.
The scheme commits us:
- to publish or otherwise make available, information, including environmental information, which is held by the Council and falls within the classifications shown on the right of this screen
- to specify the information which is held by the Council and falls within the classifications shown on the right of this screen
- to publish or otherwise make available, information in line with the statements contained within this scheme
- to produce and publish the methods by which the specific information is made available so that it can be easily identified and accessed by members of the public
- to review and update on a regular basis the information the Council makes available under this scheme
- to produce a schedule of any fees charged for access to information which is made available
- to make this publication scheme available to the public
The classes of information will not generally include:
- information which is prevented from being disclosed by law, or exempt under the Freedom of Information Act, or is otherwise protected from disclosure
- information in draft form
- information that’s no longer readily available or difficult to access as it’s contained in archived files

Should you require any information listed in the publication scheme in large print, audiotape, in another language or format, please contact us to discuss your requirements.
Charges for information
There may be a charge if a large volume of printed material is required. You will be told about any photocopying charges at the time of your request.
The cover price will be charged for any publications produced by the Council for sale. Charges will be kept under review and there is no intention to charge for material that has previously been available free.
