Hackney Marshes Saturday Youth Football League 2020/21 affiliation now open

The Hackney Marshes Saturday Youth Football League (HMSYFL) affiliation process for the 2020/21 season is now open.

In the 2019/20 season, the HMSYFL saw over 2000 players from the ages of 7 to 17 registered to 152 teams who played in the League. The League is a centralised one which means that all of the matches are played at Hackney Marshes or Mabley Green.

Arsenal FC in the Community working with us to develop football in the borough

As part of the football development plan for the borough, Hackney supports the delivery of Arsenal in the Community’s Girl’s Kicks initiative. Prior to coronavirus (Covid 19) and the lockdown, the free sessions were taking place at Mabley Green Astro on a Thursday evening at 5.30 to 7pm.

Update on permitted football training from the London FA

On 1 June the London FA issued more information on what can be permitted in terms of a football training session and how it can be delivered in a way that will adhere to Government guidance.
