Mediation service

Mediation is an effective way of resolving disputes between neighbours. It involves an independent third party (a mediator) discussing the problem with everyone involved and helping both sides to come to an agreement. Mediation is confidential, impartial and voluntary.

If you think mediation can help you, contact our Neighbourhood Contact Centre.

Gas safety

If you smell gas or you are worried that carbon monoxide is escaping, contact the National Grid immediately on 0800 111 999 and our Repairs Contact Centre on 020 8356 3691.

Managing the water supply to your home

You can manage the water supply to your home through valves in the cold water system. You should familiarise yourself with the location of the valves in your home, so you can turn off the water if a leak or fault develops with one of your appliances. See our Water supply to your home factsheet (google doc).
