The TCS Mini Marathon Championships

The 2024 championships will take place Saturday 21 April across the last 2.6km of the world famous London Marathon course.

Trials for limited team spaces will take place Sunday 3 March in Finsbury Park.

Mini Marathon 2023

On Saturday 22nd April, 20 young people took part in the Mini Marathon, which is the last 2.6km of the London Marathon

Our runners competed against the other 32 boroughs in London with great success. This year the team had a few new runners to this event but all the team members showed great promise. The future looks good for middle distance runners in Hackney.

The team highlights:

  • Aneirin Lessard – 4th in London
  • Arthur Steer – 10th in London
  • Ishaana Cannell 32nd in London
  • Dylan Mills – 20th in London

Mini Marathon 2022

On Saturday 1 October, 24 young people took part in the Mini Marathon, which is the last 2.6km of the London Marathon.

Our runners competed against the other 32 boroughs in London with great success. This year lining up for Hackney was Hackney born Annie Mann, the newly crowned under 18 European 1500m Champion.

The team achieved record highs in a number of areas:

  • Annie Mann – 1st in London, 4th in the country
  • Aneirin Lessard – 10th in London
  • Harry Glyn – 72nd in London
  • Valentin Lynch – 74th in London
