Community safety and social inclusion scrutiny commission (disbanded)

As part of a review of Hackney’s overview and scrutiny function, the community safety and social inclusion commission was disbanded at the end of the 2016/17 municipal year. The areas which were previously within its remit have been transferred to other commissions. Issues relating to crime and community safety, and the crime and disorder committee function, are now covered by the living in Hackney scrutiny commission. Economic regeneration and social inclusion move into the remit of the newly formed skills, economy and growth scrutiny commission.
