Paying for your parking
You can pay by phone in all our car parks.
There are also pay and display machines available in the car parks on:
- Amhurst Road
- Wilmer Place
- Bentley Road
- Gillett Street
You have to pay for at least 1 hour of parking in all our car parks.
All vehicles need to pay to use our car parks in operational hours. This includes cars, motorcycles and coaches.
Disabled blue badge holders can park for free within all of the Council owned and managed car parks.
We do not offer season tickets for car park users.
Paying for parking using a pay and display machine
All our pay and display machines only accept coin payments.
It’s an offence to transfer pay and display tickets between vehicles or car parks.
Paying for parking using a mobile phone

Safer car parks
The PARK MARK scheme, which is run by the British Parking Association (BPA) and the Association of Chief Police Officers, recognises improvements made by car park operators to improve the safety and accessibility of car parks for visitors.
The Safer Parking PARK MARK award has been given to the car parks on:
