Allens Gardens
The gardens are one of Hackney’s more unusual green spaces, hidden away behind Bethune Road in Stoke Newington. The gardens have a natural character, with mature yew trees and areas of woodland edge interspersed with grass and play features.
The gardens are also home to Growing Communities, a food growing social enterprise. Growing Communities are always keen for help in the garden so visit their website if you would like to volunteer.
The gardens were not always a park. Find out more about the history of the gardens.
