Aikin Court

Aikin Court includes:

• 4 new council homes for social rent
• 3 homes for outright sale to help pay for them with little government funding for social housing

These replace the 6 homes on the former housing block on the site that were in poor condition and uneconomical to repair.

The social rent homes are allocated to families on our housing waiting list. The outright sale homes will be sold by our in-house sales team, Hackney Sales, in accordance with our sales and marketing principles.

The designs were led by Stephen Taylor Architects, who have developed a terrace of homes to reflect the neighbouring townhouses along Barbauld Road – unlike the previous building which was set back from the street.

These will both provide high quality homes for the new residents and enhance the local area.

These homes were completed in late 2018.
