Reducing sugar at work
On average, UK adults eat and drink twice the daily recommended amount of sugar and so action on sugar is urgently needed.
To help us achieve this, we invite all workplaces in Hackney, whether business, charity or government, to become sugar smart.
How to become Sugar Smart in Hackney
Sugar Smart Hackney aims to reduce excessive sugar consumption in the borough.
As an organisation, you need to choose at least 3 new sugar actions. For ideas on how to do this, see:
You may also want to sign up to the London Healthy Workplace Charter, backed by the Mayor of London, or get your canteen accredited by Food for Life and the Sustainable Restaurant Association to ensure the food and drink served is healthy and sustainable.
