We’re currently introducing a new design and are making sure everything works.
Great value solar panels for homeowners
From cutting our carbon footprint in half by 2030 to establishing our own renewable energy company, we’re doing everything we can to tackle the climate emergency.
As part of our commitment to rapidly decarbonising housing and reducing fuel poverty through the Hackney green homes programme, we’re partnering with the Mayor of London to offer high-quality, great value solar panels to homeowners, helping them to generate their own clean energy and accelerate the shift to a low carbon Hackney.
What are the benefits?
Solar Together London makes makes buying solar panels accessible and affordable by allowing homeowners to buy collectively with others across London and benefit from the lower prices that group-buying brings.
Installing solar panels helps homeowners use energy from a sustainable source, avoid use of fossil fuels such as oil, gas and coal; contribute to a reduction in CO2 emissions; and lower energy bills from year one.
Homeowners simply need to register their interest and wait to receive a personalised offer from an approved solar panel provider, following a London-wide auction with suppliers submitting their lowest prices – giving assurance that they are buying high-quality solar panels for great value, installed by reputable suppliers.
How does it work?
Solar Together London is a group-buying scheme that helps you through the process, keeping you informed at every stage.
You can register until 22 October for free and without obligation at Solar Together. To register you simply provide details about your roof, such as its size and orientation.
A supplier ‘auction’ will be held on 22 October, when our approved solar suppliers will bid for the work. The more people that register, the better the deal should be for each household.
Personal recommendation: from 11 November you will be contacted with a personal recommendation, based on the specifications of your roof. This includes your costs and specification of your solar panel installation
The decision is then yours as to whether you want to accept your recommendation. There is no obligation to continue. You will have until 13 December to decide and will be invited to visit an information session.
Installation: if you accept, the winning supplier will contact you to survey your roof and set an installation date. All installations are planned to be completed by the end of March 2020.
