Have your say on polling districts and polling places

We’re reviewing our polling districts and polling places to see if they meet the needs of voters. We want to hear your thoughts.

The deadline for submitting your feedback is 31 October 2024.

What we’re reviewing

The review will look at how suitable our polling places are, focusing on:

  • the location of the polling places and stations in each polling district
  • the polling district boundaries within each ward
  • how suitable the facilities are
  • how accessible they are for all voters, including disabled voters

The review does not cover:

  • the ward boundaries
  • the constituency boundaries

Why we’re doing a review

The Representation of the People Act 1983 and the Electoral Administration Act 2013 state that each local authority needs to do a review of polling districts and polling places for Parliamentary elections every five years.

The last review took place from 2019 to 2020, so a new review must be completed by 31 January 2025.

See Notice of review of polling districts and polling places (google doc).
