Coronavirus – parking restrictions

We are continuing to enforce parking restrictions in Hackney. This is to ensure that we can make sure there is enough parking space for key workers, such as nurses and care workers.

See details on how key workers can apply for an exemption.

Parking exemptions for key workers

We are providing parking exemptions for key workers on the front line of the borough’s response to the coronavirus pandemic.

This will allow key workers to park in any resident or shared use parking bay in Hackney.

Who can apply?

This is open to workers classed as key workers in government guidance, and includes:

  • NHS workers / police
  • council workers, and contractors delivering services on their behalf (ie social care)
  • school staff
  • organisations providing support to vulnerable individuals, such as care home workers

Apply

To apply, please provide your name, telephone number, email address, organisation name and vehicle details (make, model, colour and registration number) in an email to: parking.enforcement@hackney.gov.uk

The list will be kept under regular review, and those on it will be communicated with about any changes to the exemptions in operation.
