Leisure activities for older people and adults with disabilities
There are many charities, voluntary organisations and clubs that organise leisure and social activities in the area, which are targeted at specific groups of people such as people with disabilities, older people and ethnic communities.
You can use the list of contacts below to become involved in a leisure or social activity that suits you. The list also indicates which specific group of people the organisations aim to assist and the times and dates that they meet.

Free sports activities for residents aged 50+
The new age games – free sport and physical activities delivered by specialist coaches in sport and leisure facilities across Hackney. Activities include archery, tennis, yoga, chair-based activity and more.
Fit 4 Health scheme: exercise programme to help sufferers of a stroke
The evidence-based Fit 4 Health scheme provides a platform for individuals who have suffered a stroke or TIA and are willing to improve their quality of life by increasing physical activity levels and promoting wellbeing.
