Dalston Lane (West) conservation area

Dalston Lane (West) conservation area was first designated in 2005 and was extended westwards on 23 January 2017. The conservation area comprises the original old village core of ribbon development along Dalston Lane dating from the Georgian and Victorian era along with buildings that evidence Hackney’s industrial past to the west in and around Ashwin Street.

The Dalston Lane (West) conservation area appraisal explains how the area developed over time and defines its interest and character that justifies designation.
